We mentor them through our special youth yoga teachers. We will enable them to do yoga through our special mentors. Please get in touch with us for details.

Teacher Training Options

Yoga Bharati allows incremental learning for those who are interested in studying yoga. Following are the three incremental courses one can sign up and upgrade during the course (restrictions apply). One or more of the courses may be available in a given location, but not all. For details regarding the course at a particular location, please contact us. Prospectus of the course will be announced along with course dates.

Yoga Teacher Training for Adults (YTT)

  • Yoga Teacher Training is an RYT-200 accredited course through Yoga Alliance.  This includes education in yoga techniques, philosophy, in-depth knowledge of Yoga Anatomy, teaching methodologies, practicum, and Ethics and Boundaries of business practice. YTT is also the foundation for those interested in advanced programs, such as AYTT (Advanced Teacher Training) and DYT (Diploma in Yoga Therapy) at Yoga Bharati.  This is for adults and youth 16+ years of age.

Youth Yoga Teacher Training (YYTT)

  • We provide in-depth yoga knowledge and the foundation of yoga philosophy as a tool to handle their current stress, their upcoming college life, peer pressure, and inner conflicts, along with the knowledge to be able to share their yoga sadhana with other youth under adult supervision. This course is meant for youth who already have some knowledge of yoga practice and concepts. You will qualify for the youth teacher certificate from Yoga Bharati. This is for youth ages 13-16 years. Note: Youth 16 years of age can take YYTT or YTT.

Yoga Foundation Course YFC

  • Yoga Foundation Course (YFC) provides in-depth yoga knowledge and the foundation of yoga philosophy to be able to take the practice to more profound levels at body, mind, and spiritual levels. This course is meant for people who are looking for in-depth knowledge of yoga and its philosophy for their interests. Certificates of completion and CE units (continued education) for yoga teachers can be issued. This course enables them to practice yoga with deeper awareness, hence enhancing its benefits. One may repeat this course as needed to deepen the self-practice. This is for adults and youth 16+ years of age.

Certification

Certificate: We will be issuing RYT-200 eligible certificates to adults and youth 16 years and above. We will issue Youth Training Certificate (please note, this is not an RYT-200 certificate)

Youth - Additional Note: Youth will be able to upgrade their course in 5 years (minimum age to upgrade is 16 years) to become RYT-200 certified if students also maintain at least 10 hours of Yoga Bharati’s Continued education units (training) every year and also teach at least 15 hours of classes each year. Examination - Theory and Oral Exams, upgrade fees, and other conditions apply. Contact us for details.

Length of Training

On average, YFC can take 2-3 months, while YTT and YYTT can take 6-9 months to complete the entire training. Module 1 is a structured classroom training. Module 2 is based on the announced schedule, and the remaining modules are self-paced. We believe that yoga training is a slow process involving in-depth sadhana and can’t be done quickly. Please call us if you have questions.
